Cedefop
Cedefop is the acronym of its French title, Centre Européen pour le Développement de la Formation Professionnelle (Europea Centre for the Development of Vocational Training). It was established in 1975 with Council Regulation (EEC) No 337/75. Cedefop has its headquarters in Thessaloniki (Greece).
Cedefop is a European reference centre which provides support to policy-makers and practitioners at the European Commission, in the EU Member States, in Norway and Iceland as well as in the organisations of the social partners across Europe so they can make well-founded decisions in issues related to VET policies. Cedefop also provides information and analyses on the VET systems of the Member States. All of Cedefop’s activities aim to further develop and improve VET in Europe.
